Well, as the month as September closed and I admittedly hadn't been on track the way I wanted to be, so the first few days of October I decided to take control again, and give myself a kickstart.
How you ask?
3 Day Refresh.
3 days of very controlled healthy eating, 3 days of discipline and self control that proved to be the best kickstart I could ever ask for. I got better results doing this in 3 days than my first round of 21 Day Fix. Keep in mind however, that this is NOT something that can be done for more than 3 days, it is a cleanse, something that is designed to be extreme and quick to help kickstart weight loss, or detox your body of all the crappy food you've secretly been eating (ME!)
How does it feel to walk around, eating greasy fatty food, not taking care of yourself, not sleeping and eating properly. You feel weighed down, bogged down by the toxins. You may feel foggy often, like you can't think properly. You're always tired, cranky and feeling "snacky" because of the content of the food you eat.
I've been there, I've felt that and this is the reason why I choose to do a cleanse periodically.
Here are my before pictures, to give perspective as to how I looked on October 3rd.
*Because of my PCOS the main part of my weight is in my belly, as you can see in the pictures below and is VERY difficult to get rid of for us cyster ladies.*
This is me at the end of the 3 days, on the morning of October 6th.

A little discouraged by the number I was starting with but I began anyways, knowing it was only 3 days and that I would not only look better when finished, but feel better inside and out. And honestly, that's really all I was looking for as I didn't think I would lose more than 3 lbs due to my hormones. I wanted to believe that I could do this, and complete it and just feel better. So that is what I aimed to do and I did.
Yes, I was hungry...I was able to eat some food (fruit, veggie and healthy fat choices) but it was much less than what I am used to stuffing in my face on a daily basis.
And I weighed in at:
All I have to say is although having PCOS sucks, I am refusing to let it take control and I am fighting my hardest to get myself healthy. This is just phase one. I will win.
